If you are a current financial member of HSANZ, ANZSBT or THANZ, you are eligible to register using the member rate. You can apply for membership at the same time as registering to also claim the member rate.
These rates are subsidised to encourage attendance for the nurse and scientist professionals. All other professionals (corporate, pharmaceutical representatives etc) should register at the industry rate.
The full registration fee will include attendance at the full Meeting Program from 27 - 30 October 2024 as well as a ticket to the Welcome Function and Gala Dinner. One-Day and Two-Day registration passes are also available.
No, masterclasses are an additional cost and take place on Monday and Tuesday evening. Each masterclass is limited to approximately 30 attendees.
We will secure a number of accommodation options available to Meeting attendees, you will be able to book accommodation at delegate rates via the registration form.
If you are unable to register prior to Blood 2024, you can register onsite at the Registration Desk. Please note, payment will be required at this time via a credit card or cash (in Australian currency only).
All cancellations must be received in writing so please email blood@theconferencecompany.com. Cancellation notice received prior to 10 August 2024 will be eligible for a refund, less a AU$100 administration fee. Cancellations after this date are non-refundable, however you are able to transfer your registration to another person.
Individuals wanting to attend one session must register for a one day pass for that day, unregistered attendees will not be allowed access to sessions or other Meeting events.
Upon full payment of the Meeting registration fees, you request an invitation letter by emailing blood@theconferencecompany.com. Invitation letters will not be supplied to unpaid or unregistered participants, and we reserve the right to refuse to provide invitation letters for attendees. Please note that we do not give any further support or advice about the visa application process. Obtaining a visa remains the sole responsibility of the participant.
No there is no partner registration. However, you will be able to purchase tickets for them to attend the Welcome Function and Gala Dinner.
Yes, a Certificate of Attendance can be requested after the Meeting and will be emailed to you.
Yes, recording of your CPD activities is paramount and we suggest you do so on-the-go. Blood as a scientific conference is recognised as a Category 1 - Educational Activity (traditional learning or educational activities such as reading, lectures, conferences, workshops, etc) and for this activity you can claim the appropriate hours attended.
We encourage persons with disabilities to participate in the program and social activities. Please contact blood@theconferencecompany.com to request services or other accommodations for any special needs or note these on your registration form. If you have dietary preferences, please be sure to mark those on the space provided on the registration form when you register.
Abstract submissions close, 29 May 2024 8pm AEST.
No, there is no late breaking abstract submission.
Yes, TiP abstracts can be submitted but will be reviewed to the same standard as other abstracts and accepted if of value to the attendees.
There are a number of awards and travel grants available, more information and eligibility for these awards is available here.
Authors will be advised by the end of July via email.
The presentation can be delivered by another named author, this author must have been included on the original abstract submission. Please email blood@theconferencecompany.com to advise of any change of presenter.

Abstracts will be made available electronically, via the Meeting website and the app, shortly before the Meeting.
All invited speakers are required to submit a short abstract for inclusion in the electronic abstract supplement. Please submit your abstract in word using the abstract template to blood@theconferencecompany.com by 29 May 2023.
If you have been invited to give a presentation, do not submit your abstract via the online form.
No, you can use your own template however please ensure it us formatted to a 16:9 ratio.
There will be a Speaker Preparation Room available for you to finalise and load your presentation. Please ensure you deliver your presentation to the technicians in the Speaker Preparation Room at least 2 hours prior to your session. The location and opening times for this room will be advised closer to the time of the Meeting.
